Pry off the front fascia by inserting a plastic opening tool between the fascia and white casing.

Pull the ZIF (zero insertion force) white ribbon out of the circuit board by hand located on the back of the front fascia. Be careful when pulling it out of the connector.

Remove the 10 screws from the black internal housing (6 black screws, 4 silver screws). They are all phillips #1 screws and the black screws are 10 mm in length and the silver screws are 8 mm in length.

Slowly pry around the black housing with the plastic opening tool to remove it from the back housing.

Remove the 4 phillips #1 head silver screws from the green circuit board. They are located on the four corners of the board and are 8 mm in length.

Remove the black tube (speaker port) by unscrewing the silver phillips head #1 screw (8 mm in length) that connects it to the black housing. Pull it off from where it wraps around the black housing's mating port.

Remove the 4 silver phillips head #1 screws from the back of the speaker that are 7 mm in length.

Remove about an inch of the black sponge insulation from around the red (positive) and black (negative) speaker wires.

Use the soldering iron to heat up the terminal spots on the speaker and remove each wire (red and black).

Strip about a quarter inch of the rubber insulation away from each of the speaker wires (red and black wires) using the 6 inch wire strippers.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

i hardly difficult to treat 2 defective speakers. i find the flat cable a little loose on the main plate. thank you!!!
