This guide will show you step-by-step how to replace the speakers in your Trio Stealth-G4X tablet. Speakers may become damaged by regular usage over a long period of time or from constant high volume. Before starting the repair, make sure your problem is not related to a software issue. A quick way to see if your speakers are damaged and need replaced is to turn up the volume on the device and check to see if the sound if muffled or rattling, or if there is no sound at all.

Starting near the middle edge of the Trio Stealth-G4X tablet, gently work the small pry tool in between the seams of one side of the tablet.
-
-
-
Work your way around all four corners of the tablet, unlocking all of the retaining tabs that hold the tablet together.
-
-
-
You should now be able to separate the two halves of the tablet. Also place the back cover aside since you will no longer be needing it until reassembly.

-
With the motherboard facing upwards, locate the speakers and the Braided (Red and Black) wires connecting them. Once located remove the two pieces of black adhesive tape retaining the wires using a small pry tool or your hands.
-
-
-
Once removed you will notice the solder locations that connect the Braided (Red and Black) wires to the motherboard.
-
-
-
Look closely at the soldering points. Take note of how the positive(Red) and negative(Black) connections are placed on the motherboard. With your soldering iron carefully heat the solder point until it begins to melt. Once molten, gently pull the wire off of the connection point. De-solder both positive and negative wires for each problem speaker.

Re-soldering is the same process as de-soldering, except you will also add solder. Be sure to be precise and clean when soldering. Look up soldering tutorials for help on youtube if you do not feel comfortable. Once all wires are re-soldered reassemble the tablet following the steps in reverse order.
