Einleitung
In 2020, for the first time in decades, vinyl records outsold CDs. Ten years ago, it would be unusual to see a turntable sitting on the shelf at a Walmart or Target, but it is now commonplace. More and more people are using and enjoying turntables and the medium it provides.
Turntables, however, are not a perfect machine. They’re based on physical media, which tends to be unreliable. Due to this and its new popularity, more people need guides on repairing and maintaining turntables.
One of the best things you can do for a turntable is to replace the needle. This guide will walk through the steps on replacing the needle, also known as the stylus, on a Victrola turntable. Victrola is a well-known brand servicing many high-end turntable models and budget-friendly record players found in popular retail chains. In this guide, we use a Victrola VTA-370B(PC)A for the photos, but this guide can apply this guide to most, if not all, Victrola-brand turntables.

Connect the new casing, applying it at an angle up and towards the back of the head of the tone arm.

Listen to how the turntable sounds when turned on. Listen for warbles, crackles, pops, and other non-desirable noise.

If the vinyl sounds clear and plays smoothly, the needle has been successfully installed and ready for use.

My warranty is out (bought mine in 2017) and Victrola has been no help. They wont replace any parts, and so suggested I do an online search for 3rd party parts. But, I don’t even know what to look for. The arm on my unit is broken, what part do I need or what do I search for? I have the Model VTA-200B (music center with Bluetooth) Serial #: D170604182ITC. I tried to attach a pic, but can’t here.
Hi Monica,
After doing some research, it seems like you can only really replace the needle. If the arm is broken, you may need to find that individual with the plastic motor for sale online. But I'm not having luck finding any Victrola arms for sale either.
