Identification and Background

The fourth generation of the Volkswagen Jetta, released in 1999. Called the Bora everywhere besides North America and South Africa, this Volkswagen contained many pricey options that most consumers opted out of to avoid the high costs that Volkswagen's options are famous for, such as rain sensor controlled windshield wipers. More useful options available in the Jetta included over 10 engine options, both diesel and gasoline, and transmission options ranging from a 4 speed automatic to a 6 speed manual. Even without all the options, the Jetta receives the general consensus of being a good all-around family car with good safety ratings.
