Background and Identification
The Carrier Global Corporation is an American corporation founded in 1015 as an independent company manufacturing and distributing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Since its founding, Carrier has expanded to include manufacturing commercial refrigeration and food service equipment, as well as fire and security technologies. Willis Carrier is credited with inventing modern air conditioning in 1902. The corporation began using Carrier’s name to mark its air conditioning system to the residential market in the 1950s.

According to Carrier’s website, their products are designed to be quiet, so there should be no loud noises when the furnace or air conditioner turns on.
