Phantom is a series of UAVs (or unmanned aerial vehicles) designed and manufactured by DJI, a Chinese technology company. The Phantom 4 is the fourth generation of the Phantom UAV series and was released in March 2016. Phantom 4 production ended in April 2017 with the launch of the Phantom 4 Advanced model.

The Phantom 4 has an improved quick-release propeller system when compared with its predecessors. This model also features obstacle avoidance and subject tracking, as well as GPS, a camera gimbal, sonar, five safety sensors, and a gyroscope. The Phantom 4 Pro has upgraded obstacle avoidance and includes two different remote controllers. The Phantom 4 Advanced model was designed to replace the original Phantom 4 and uses the same camera sensor as the Phantom 4 Pro.
