Background an Identification
The Dell Adamo 13 was released to the public on March 17th, 2009. It is an aluminum-clad laptop with a 13.4-inch screen and weighs just under 4 pounds. Colors options included Onyx (black with black accents) and Pearl (silver with white accents). It originally came with Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium, with an optional external DVD-RW Drive. Later, Dell updated this to a Core 2 Duo 2.1 SL9600 processor.
The price at release was $1999 but soon dropped drastically due to the specifications not being able to operate to full power. This device was made with advanced lithium polymer technology to improve battery life. It was composed of a machined aluminum chassis that provides better strength against damage.
The most common sources of problems with this device include the fan, battery, display, and storage. These issues can be self-managed in many cases with an instruction set. Not every one of these computers will have problems, but it is good to understand how to fix these problems. Some of these computers are released with issues but can be resolved easily if under warranty.
