Background and Identification
Released in June 2010, the Dell Inspiron Duo was introduced as an appealing notebook-tablet hybrid. It has a hinged display that can flip 180 degrees vertically allowing for both tablet and traditional laptop configurations. While the screen is flipped and in tablet configuration, it has a touch-screen friendly tablet interface, and while in laptop configuration it uses the standard Windows 7 interface.
You can identify this device by using the Service Tag number, or Serial Number. It's a seven digit alpha-numeric code on the bottom of the device, you can enter it here under "Enter Service Tag or Express Service Code", about halfway down the page. While this device was released in many different color combinations, you can identify the device by looking for common features. There should be a shiny silver power button on the back bottom right corner of the device, and on the opposite side of the device in the same position should be the power cable port. There are two speakers, located on the front bottom right of the device. There is a docking point for the Audio Station located on back of the device, in addition to the four heal release vents. On the touch screen, it will read "INSPIRON duo" on the top left, and the Dell Logo will be bottom center.
