Background
The Holstein Housewares Mini Cupcake Maker HM-09101R allows users to simply fill the cups with batter, close the lid, and enjoy freshly made cupcakes a few minutes later. It contains very simple technology. There are no temperature settings; it is simply a "plug in and wait" device. The two nonstick plates are heated by two heating sources, both containing a resistance of about 1.6 ohms. A red light on the top of the device will turn on once plugged in and turn off when the cupcakes are ready.
Identification
This 7-count mini cupcake maker is an older model made by Holstein Housewares. It is not currently being manufactured, but can easily be bought used from common stores like Goodwill, eBay, etc for around $10 depending on the store.
The model of this device is HM-09101R. Newer models can be purchased that are 12-count or 6-count, although they are not miniature.
