Upgrades
There are a number of components in the PowerBook G4 Aluminum 12" 867 MHz that can be cost effectively upgraded.

- Optical Drive: The optical drive can be upgraded fairly easily. You can upgrade to a combo drive or 8x SuperDrive. Identification and Background
Released in January 2003, the PowerBook G4 Aluminum 12" 867 MHz was the among the earliest versions of the Aluminum G4 lineup. Early models utilized inferior USB 1.1 ports and a single analog mini-VGA port for video output.
