Auguste Mariette

François Auguste Ferdinand Mariette, auch Auguste-Édouard Mariette (* 11. Februar 1821 in Boulogne-sur-Mer; † 18. Januar 1881 in Bulaq bei Kairo) war ein französischer Ägyptologe. Er war der Begründer der Denkmalpflege in Ägypten und des Ägyptischen Museums in Kairo.
