Horatio Nelson, 1. Viscount Nelson, Herzog von Bronte, KB (* 29. September 1758 in Burnham Thorpe, Norfolk, England; † 21. Oktober 1805, vor Kap Trafalgar, Spanien) war ein britischer Vizeadmiral. Zu seinen zahlreichen Siegen zählen unter anderem die Schlachten von St. Vincent 1797, Abukir 1798, Kopenhagen 1801 sowie Trafalgar 1805.

Nelson gilt als der bedeutendste Offizier in der Geschichte der Royal Navy.
