James Hector

Sir James Hector (* 16. März 1834 in Edinburgh, Schottland; † 6. November 1907 in Lower Hutt, Neuseeland) war britischer, schottisch-neuseeländischer Mediziner, Geologe und Forscher. Er war Leiter verschiedener neuseeländischer Institute und von 1885 bis 1903 Kanzler der University of New Zealand.
