Marians Pahars
Marians Pahars (fälschlich oft: Marian Pahars; * 5. August 1976 in Tschornobaj, Ukrainische SSR) ist ein ehemaliger lettischer Fußballspieler und jetziger -trainer. Im Zenit seiner Karriere spielte er von 1999 bis 2006 beim FC Southampton in England. In dieser Zeit wurde er dreimal hintereinander zu Lettlands Fußballer des Jahres gekürt. Über Zypern kam er wieder zurück nach Lettland und beendete dort 2009 seine Karriere als Aktiver. 2011 übernahm er nach dem Abgang von Aleksandrs Starkovs das Traineramt von Skonto Riga. Von Juli 2013 bis April 2017 war er lettischer Nationaltrainer.
