Der Rhythmus (von griechisch rhythmós: Gleichmaß, periodischer Wechsel, eigentlich: das Fließen) (auch Rhythmik) in der Kunst ist ein Ordnungsprinzip (Flächenordnungsprinzip, Formanordnung), das die regelmäßige Wiederkehr von Bild- oder Formelementen in Architektur, bildender Kunst, Ornamentik und Schriftkunst bezeichnet.
