Die Teeanbaugebiete gibt es um den ganzen Erdball in allen tropischen und subtropischen Zonen sowohl im Flachland als auch im Gebirge. Weltweit wurden 2018 etwa 4,2 Millionen Hektar mit Tee bepflanzt.
