The Prodigy
The Prodigy (englisch Das Wunder, Wunderkind) ist eine englische Band, die Anfang der 1990er-Jahre Breakbeats in der Elektronischen Tanzmusik populär machte. Die Band orientierte sich in der Anfangsphase an Acid House und Techno der frühen 1990er und entwickelte später ihren eigenen Stil, der neue Stile wie Hardcore und Jungle einbezog. Etwa ab 1996 prägten The Prodigy aktuelle Sounds wie Big Beat und Trip-Hop, wobei sie Elemente des Alternative Rock und des Punk-Rock mit einbauten.
