Vanessa buana ist ein Schmetterling (Tagfalter) der Gattung Vanessa aus der Familie der Edelfalter (Nymphalidae), der nur auf Sulawesi vorkommt. Das Artepitheton leitet sich vom Namen des Typenfundortes, dem Berg Bua-Kraeng, ab, der heute Bawakaraeng heißt.
