Fort Wayne ist die zweitgrößte Stadt im US-Bundesstaat Indiana und Sitz der Countyverwaltung (County Seat) des Allen Countys. Das U.S. Census Bureau hat bei der Volkszählung 2020 eine Einwohnerzahl von 263.886 ermittelt.
Wirtschaftlich ein Industriezentrum ist die Stadt zugleich auch Sitz der Indiana University Fort Wayne, des Indiana Institute of Technology und des Bistums Fort Wayne-South Bend.
