Nothosaurus (altgriechisch für „Bastard-Echse“ von νόθος nothos, deutsch ‚unehelich, mit einer Beischläferin od. Sklavin erzeugt‘, sowie σαῦρος sauros, deutsch ‚Echse‘) ist eine ausgestorbene mittelgroße Sauropterygiergattung der Trias (Olenekium bis Karnium) von Europa (Niederlande, Deutschland, Polen, Italien, Frankreich, Schweiz, Spanien, Bulgarien) und Asien (Israel, Saudi-Arabien und China).
