Tauranga, offizielle Bezeichnung: Tauranga City, ist eine Hafenstadt und eine eigenständige Territorial Authority (Gebietskörperschaft) auf der Nordinsel von Neuseeland. Die Stadt ist Sitz des Bay of Plenty Regional Council und des Western Bay of Plenty District Council. Der Rat für die Stadt selbst wird Tauranga City Council genannt.
