Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing difficulties with you Amazon Echo Studio, check out the troubleshooting page to diagnose and look at possible solutions to your problem.

Background

The Amazon Echo Studio is a Bluetooth speaker with Alexa assistance manufactured by Amazon, identified by model number B07G9Y3ZMC (which can be located on the Amazon website). The first generation model was initially released on November 7th, 2019. This speaker was designed for anyone who likes to listen to music, podcasts, audio books. However, unlike its smaller counterparts such as the Amazon Echo Dot, due to the Amazon Echo Studio's size and weight, it is not a speaker that was designed to be carried around with you, and instead it is a speaker that usually sits in a place where you more frequently spend your time on (Ex. Living Room.)

While the Echo Studio connects via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, it is not a completely wireless device as it has to be plugged into an outlet in order to operate. The Echo Studio is capable of connecting to Amazon Alexa, Hue, Nest, Ring, SmartThings, and Wink. It does have a built-in voice assistant with Amazon Alexa.

The Echo Studio is also equipped with DOLBY ATMOS surround sound, which was first released in 2012. This technology allows sounds to be interpreted as three-dimensional objects. It is perfect for those who are looking to develop their own home theater.

You can find the Amazon Echo Studio on various online stores and in-person stores, such as Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and more. Its retail price is $199.99, and it has remained unchanged since its release in November 2019.

The Echo Studio does not have any major recalls by Amazon, however there have been many significant issues that customers have experienced after purchase. Examples include but are not limited to: faulty power supply, bad Bluetooth connection, and Alexa issues.

Identification

The Amazon Echo Studio is a somewhat large device standing at 8.1" height and 6.9" width. The Echo Studio now comes in two colors, Charcoal which was the first released color in 2019, and on October 2022, Amazon released the second generation Echo Studio which is available in both the Charcoal and a new Glacier color. On top of the Echo Studio you have four buttons to control volume, to mute its microphone and to start pairing with devices, and you can also see a LED ring that is usually lit up when the device is turned on.
