Background and Identification

The Fire Phone is Amazon's first foray into the smartphone market. The device boasts a 2.2 GHZ quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 4.7" 720P IPS display, and runs Fire OS 3.5.1, a custom operating system based on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean).

The Fire Phone features "Dynamic Perspective", a 3D display technology that uses four front-facing infrared cameras to create a sort of "depth" to the UI. It also features "Firefly", an app that uses various recognition technologies to identify over 100 million products, songs, and movies. Additionally, the Fire Phone comes packed with "Mayday", Amazon's 24/7 tech support feature which was first released on the Kindle Fire HDX line of tablets.
