Identification and Background
The Macintosh PowerBook 5300cs includes a 100 MHz PowerPC 603e processor, 8 MB of RAM, a 500 MB hard drive in a black portable case, supports 4-bit grayscale, and a video card can be added to support up-to 16-bit color on an external monitor. The Powerbook 5300cs was released August 28, 1995 and discontinued August 1, 1996.
The Powerbook 5300cs is a compact dark grey laptop. It is very similar to other powerbook 5300 models. When closed the Powerbook 5300cs has a small rainybow apple logo right above the button that opens the display. Below the display is another rainbow apple logo, with the writing Macintosh to the left of it and Powerbook 5300cs written on the other side.
