Fangatau ist eine Gemeinde im Tuamotu-Archipel in Französisch-Polynesien.
Die Gemeinde besteht aus zwei Atollen. Sie ist in zwei „Communes associées“ (Teilgemeinden) untergliedert. Der Hauptort der Gemeinde ist Fangatau. Der Code INSEE der Gemeinde ist 98717.
