Dell Latitude E5470

The Dell Latitude is a laptop series marketed by Dell Computers as business laptops/netbooks. The Latitude series began in 1994, but the E-Family of Latitude laptops was not produced until 2007. The Dell Latitude E5470 laptop was released in 2016 with a sixth-generation Intel Core i7-6600U CPU.

The Dell Latitude E5470 includes two 32 GB memory slots and an anti-glare LED (light-emitting diode) display. It includes a 14-inch high-definition (HD) display and a matte black plastic body. The computer includes 128 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM. The laptop’s frame includes carbon-fiber reinforcements for durability and a spill-resistant keyboard. An optional scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass touch display can also be purchased. The Dell Latitude E5470 has a 180-degree hinge that allows users to lay the screen parallel with the base of the laptop.

Dell advertises that the Latitude E5470 model was built to pass the MIL-STD-810G standard, meaning it passes the military-grade durability testing. This rating means the laptop can be operated at temperatures as low as negative 20.2 degrees Fahrenheit and as high as 140 degrees Fahrenheit. It can be operated at heights up to 15,000 feet and while blasted with sand and dust for up to 12 hours.

A review from Laptop Magazine found that the Dell Latitude E5470 has fast performance, powerful audio, and an accurate, bright display, but has subpar battery life and the laptop becomes hot in places during use.
