Background and Identification

The EDCO KL-14 is a walk-behind saw with a 14-inch cutting blade capacity. Walk-Behind Saws are designed to provide straight, smooth cuts and withstand the rigors of everyday use. This model features collapsible handlebars for storage and transportation. The depth of cut is controlled by a hand wheel positioned below the machine’s handlebars. This saw can be used for short-run slab cutting, contraction joints, patch repairs in asphalt, and traffic loop installation and trenching, among other applications.

The EDCO KL-14 includes a misting system for wet cutting. Wet cutting helps to cool the saw’s cutting blade and also controls dust. The saw weighs 124 pounds when the fuel tank is empty. It includes a 6.5-horsepower Honda GX200 (part number 39200) or a 7-horsepower Subaru engine (part number 39200) gasoline-powered engine that sits in the middle of the machine’s body. For four-stroke engines, Honda recommends using unleaded 86 octane or higher fuel for this engine at a 50:1 gasoline to oil ratio.

The EDCO KL-14 is made from laser-fabricated thick steel and has a box frame construction. This walk-behind saw can be identified by its beige color and the manufacturer’s name “EDCO” printed in capital letters on the front and both sides of the machine. The saw has two larger wheels in the back and two small wheels underneath the engine, along with a small wheel positioned in front of the cutter to encourage straight-lined movement. The system includes a steel blade guard for safety.
