The Samsung Galaxy S20 Android smartphone is manufactured by Samsung Electronics and was released in March 2020. The S20 is part of Samsung’s Galaxy S series and is the successor to the Galaxy S10. The S20 was available in grey, blue, pink, white, and red bodies. In the United States, the white body was exclusive to Verizon for the Galaxy S20 with Ultrawide Band support.

Compared to the Galaxy S10, the S20 has slightly smaller dimensions but increased pixel density, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a camera system that supports 8K video recording rather than 4K video recording. The S20 was available with 128 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM, while the S10 had three storage and RAM options to choose from. The Galaxy S20 5G Ultra Wideband smartphone was released in June 2020 and includes mmWave 5G network connection but no MicroSD slot.

The Galaxy S20 is the first smartphone to receive USB fast-charger certification from the USB Implementers Forum. The S20 includes an “Infinity-O” display with a circular punch-hole in the top center of the display for the selfie camera. The rear camera array contains three cameras and is located in the top left corner of the phone rather than centered like past Galaxy S devices.

Reviews have praised the Galaxy S20’s clear display and strong camera performance. However, reviewers found that the fingerprint scanner is unpredictable and the phone does not support all 5G networks.
