Identification and Background
The LG VX5500 is a compact flip phone sold through Verizon Wireless. It differs only cosmetically from it's predecessor the VX5400.
The phone is constructed of dark grey plastic, with a black panel on the outside of the front shell. It is equipped with a VGA camera located on the top middle of the device, when it is folded. The VX5500 also features two color screens.
The device was released October 31st, 2008. It is typically labeled with the model number 'VX5500', which can be seen by removing the battery.
