Background and Identifications
The Pentax PZ-10, also know as the Pentax Z-10 in the US, is an SLR autofocus film camera, released in 1991. It was the first in the second generation line of autofocus cameras from Pentax with power zoom and SAFOX II autofocus. Pentax also released the PZ-1 the same year, and upgraded to the PZ-20 and PZ-50 in 1992.
The Pentax PZ-10 uses a 1 x 6 volt 2CR5 battery and 35 mm cartridge film. It is compatible with KAF2-mount autofocus lenses or any earlier model K-mount manual lenses.
You can identify your device by locating the model number on the top right corner of the front of the camera, or on the top of the camera, near the shutter button (the one used to take the picture). The lettering on the logo and the model number is a dull bronze color, different from the PZ-20 (which is in white).
