Not many tablets could compete with the sleekness, portability, and the reliability of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 during its release in 2014. The tablet runs with Android 5.1, but at the time of its release, the first generation ran on Android 4.4 Kit-Kat. The multi window functionality is one of the most revolutionary features that the tablet executed. Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0’s design is quite renowned around the world. The design is almost identical when comparing the tablet and Samsung’s Galaxy cell phones. The tablet can be purchased in either a black or white color. The silver rimming around the top edges of the tablet compliments its sleek design. The silver lettering of Samsung centered at the top of the device matches the tablet's edges. The tablet's home button is a single push down button centered at the bottom of the screen, rimmed in silver. There are also two other touch keys adjacent to the home button. The back key is on the right side and the recent app key button is on the left. The front of the screen also includes a front-facing camera lens towards the top of the tablet. The back cover of the tablet contains a camera as well, it is centered towards the top of the tablet. Underneath the dorsal camera, the manufacture label “Samsung” is printed.
